Anyone have any idea what size (height) tires I should have in the front, when the car has 28 inch tall tires in the back.

The front tires are "skinnies" basically Good Year (M & H) Front runners ?

Thanks.

What are you doing with the car, drag racing? What kind of light are you running against, a sequence tree or a pro tree?
A tall tire will make your car APPEAR to be faster cause of the increased rollout with the tall tires. A short tire will do the opposite.
If you are running against a pro light, you need the shortest tire that will keep the headers and oilpan from rubbing on the ground. You need the least rollout you can get for a good reaction time. Really short tires look rediculous on some cars, but they are used for a reason.
If you are on a full tree, and you keep redlighting a little, or are late a little, reaction time can be refined by front tire height, as well as many other things, shocks, launch rpm etc.
Oh ,btw, rear tire height has nothing to do with it.
Edit: my full tree car has a 30"tall front tire, to slow the reaction a little, and my pro tree car uses 22" goodyear frontrunners.

Wow what a difference, but really the car runs up here with full tree and I drive the car on the street.
I was just asking with the rear tires size in case it played a role with the geometry of the set up.

Thanks.

I allway run the tallest tire I can,

Brian
Thing is the front tire over 26 touch the fenders when I'm turning the wheel too much, which at times you need to do on the street.
I just wasn't sure if I drove the car on the street with 28 in the back of 25-6 would be ok.
Thanks

I put Phoenix F/X on the front of my 64 and they were 25 tall but after mounting, measuring them they are actually 23.5 tall

Why would you drive it in the street ? Stopping in a straight line might be challenging with a race tire set up. Not real safe.

Big fat tires in the back and adjustable proportioning valve, no problem stopping
