AAA Towing Insurance Is A Rip Off.

Had to call AAA this morning, as my daily driver battery went dead at the strip mall, a mile from my home.
Walked home, and only wanted to get ahold of the AAA quick service truck, and not needing a tow.
Just wanted to buy a battery from them, and get me over to the strip mall, to install it.

Well, now everything is an automated prompting system, way before you even get a human.

Listening to their messages it tells you that you can't ride in the cab of the tow truck, or quick service truck, if your broke down, and needing a tow to a shop, or to your residence.
Then how the F do you get home if your broke down on the shoulder of the highway, or street?

I pay the 99 bucks a year for their tow insurance, and this policy is a big rip off.

Anyone else hear of this, or experience this policy before?

Tow Trucks Will Not Allow You To Ride With the Driver
So, when you are stranded, you need to not only call AAA and get help with your vehicle, you also need to arrange your own transportation from your break-down location to home or to the repair shop.Jul 11, 2020
