soo....tried to put air shocks on my new 61 valiant.....no fit...too close to gas tank. option 2...new springs...question....do super stock springs fit a first gen a body???? all the info say 63 and up, which is second and up generations.....

i dont "need" super stock.....i want them to be 2-3 inches over what stock was when new....
ESPO has over height springs available (unless they don't make them for 61's.)

Let's ask @slantsixdan. He's an expert at those cars.

All A-body spring stacks fit all A-bodies, sometimes with very minor tweaks. Go give ESPO a shout for a set of 5-leaf/V8 springs (say they're for a '65 Dart if you must, but I think they're hep), which will improve the spring rate without overdoing it like the Super Stock items would.

Remember to aim your headlamps after you replace the springs, or you'll only get to see 3 feet in front of the car at night.
