64-66 abody radiator brackets for shroud
Ok, here is what I have....the 4 matching brackets are for a original 1966 A-body 22” radiator with a shroud.
The shiny black bracket is the same as the other 4 except I think I drilled the bolt hole larger for some reason but I didn’t need the shroud anymore on that car so I removed it and installed it on my dads 66.
The other bracket I believe is for a B-body car and it’s quite different, look at the pictures. The most obvious is the long hole for adjustment, but the curve and tab at the front are also different. The holes also don’t line up the same. Not sure where I got this, probably ebay but didn’t realize it was different till it matched them up.
The reproduction B-body ones look just like the above mentioned bracket with the slot, I’m not sure if they will work or not but I’m guessing they won’t just bolt right up without some mods being made to get them to fit properly. If they are able to be used most will never even notice the difference.
The original brackets are harder to find than the rare shroud....they were small parts and easily got lost! Hope this helps.....BTW, sorry the brackets are not for sale since they belong to a shroud I have.
