These nice country roads are being over developed at an alarming rate.At least around me anyway(30 min south of Raleigh).
These nice country roads have lots of potholes too.
I put about 500 miles on the rental car while I was housing shopping around Stanley and Lincolnton NC area and thought the roads were relatively well maintained. Of course after 6 years of living in Houston,just having roads with curves, was a nice change of pace. Not to mention the locals don't seem to have a problem hustling through the back roads. The vehicles on the roads are also much better maintained than what they are here in Houston.
