Pulled and inspected five of the plugs (Autolite 85's)... #7 is somewhat dark, especially compared to #1, 3, 5 and 8 which are uniformly slighly rich. May just be a fuel distribution issue with the Edelbrock air-gap manifold - or maybe there's a small intake leak and it's sucking a bit of oil. Who knows. Nothing obvious.
Plug #2, 4 and 6 (listed in increasing order of difficulty) I'll leave alone for the moment. #2 is very close to the alternator stud, #4 has to be reached from underneath, and the infamous #6 only through the hole in the inner fender ;)
Also replaced the thermostat housing bolts with 3/8" studs to lower the chance of stripping the aluminum pump housing on future disassembly, and tightened a few hose clamps.
