Weight loss and perseverance
First weekend of October and 3 years since I started this journey.
My new weight is 224 lbs making it now 91 lbs lost.
I only lost one lb this month, but I’m not surprised. I had big weight loss over this Summer and I also increased my potassium intake in mid August from 2600 mg/day to 3800 mg per day by changing my diet a bit. I’m sure it has temporarily whacked my fluid balance but I feel so much better physically and mentally since doing it. 98% of Americans don’t get enough potassium in their diet and I was one of them.
3 years into the journey and I have shed 318,500 calories at an average of just 290 calories per day. It has been a small daily change in eating but has added up to a very big change in my weight.
Now I remain focused on getting to the 100 lb lost goal by Christmas and shedding the last 30 lbs after that. By Christmas next year, I should be very close to my ultimate goal of losing 130 lbs total.
