Is there a way to check, I bought from a guy that pulled it from s 69 dart, seems tight

I think you turn it all the way left or right put a mark with a sharpie and count the turns to stop the other way. 5.5 turns is 24:1 I am looking for a 16:1 which I think is about 3.5 turns

Pretty sure it is not a 16 to 1.

I would be lying if I answered that, I bought it with plans to ditch power steering but decided against it, the guy had a 69 Dart V-8 but not sure if it was original equipment.
16:1 manual steering was available as an extra cost option on A-Bodies from 1966-1969. Maybe other years, too, but those for sure.
