LOL you know it's gonna be a bad day when.............

This has been a long dry summer. It is raining "to beat hell." First rain we've had for months. This year bore a striking resemblance, to me, to 1967, the last summer "I was here" before leaving for the Navy in May 68. That was a very long dry summer, and the "Sundance" fire. 2000 firefighters, 57000 acres and killed two men.

We had no big fire here locally, but there was a huge fire down SW of us. 68,000 acres. TREMENDOUS smoke from other areas. And WA, OR, and CA all had serious, big fires this year.
