You get up at 6AM and it's 55F and here at 11AM it's down to 51F LOL
 
I wish it was that cool here again. It's comin back next week though.
 
This has been a long dry summer. It is raining "to beat hell." First rain we've had for months. This year bore a striking resemblance, to me, to 1967, the last summer "I was here" before leaving for the Navy in May 68. That was a very long dry summer, and the "Sundance" fire. 2000 firefighters, 57000 acres and killed two men.

We had no big fire here locally, but there was a huge fire down SW of us. 68,000 acres. TREMENDOUS smoke from other areas. And WA, OR, and CA all had serious, big fires this year.

Yeah it's a lot worse out there than the media is letting on.
 
we went on a little trip to the grand canyon a month or two ago, we literally drove through the smoldering ashes of a forest fire

that was a one of a kind experience
 
It's in the mid-60's here for the next week with rain off and on, sometimes pretty heavy. Thank goodness for that, I'm a heat wimp. Anything over about 80-85 and I start to snivel and look for a place to hide.
 
90 right now, got down to 66 last night. The cooling trend will continue here in the valley
 
64 here today and real warm for this time of year but not complaining had times when there was 3' of snow on the ground and 10 below this time of year.
Sorry for all the fires and all the smoke you guys west of me are dealing with.
