That's interesting, mine doesn't do that. The Autometer reads about 300RPM High in my case. It works out great, I shift when I see 7000 on the autometer and by the time my brain tells my hand to move and the trans does it job the car shifts almost dead on 7000 according to my logs. I just set this gauge up to light up to shift at 6900, well see how it works I have never shifted off of a light.
