Throwing in the towel on a project?

I’ve been off the forums since July. For the first time in my life I’ve been juggling my family and another family (soon to be in laws). I started a project a couple years ago. It was an engine rebuild, transmission rebuild and disc brake conversion. Engine and trans are done and brakes are mounted and the car is rolling. I just don’t have time to get the brake system plumed. Normally I would say “make the car a priority” but sorry fellas, I’m putting the women in front of the car. It’s been months since I’ve turned a wrench on the car. I absolutely hate the thought of taking a car to someone after I’ve been working on it but I don’t see another option. The guy I would take it to worked on the car a ton when I was 15-18 (15 years ago) so he knows the car a little and he has known me for even longer. How bad of an idea is this?
I hate taking my vehicles anywhere and every single time I've taken my **** somewhere they ******* break something else
