Barracuda 69 from France

Hello,
I'm french and I don't speak very well, sorry

I bought a Barracuda Fastback 69, this car was wrecked and repaired with a Barracuda 67 front.
I would like to put it back in its original configuration.

I found a Dart 73 hood in France.
Now i'm looking for the front face of 69.

Does anyone have a front face for sale?


Other possibilities?
- If it is possible to put the grills of 69 on the hearder panel of 67, I can modify it.
I'll just need the grills.

- I found the fiberglass hearder panel at aar's
Header Panel, Plymouth Barracuda 1969 – AAR Quality Fiberglass.
I will only need the grills

You can most likely find all the parts but it will be very $ expensive.
I think it looks great I would leave as is and drive it often.

Bonjour Pascal,

You will need the 73 dart hinges or file slots in your 69 hood hinge bolt holes to make the hood adjust forward and back. To be honest, I'd leave the 67 hood on there as I think those look good.

There was somebody here on fabo that used a 67/68 grille header with a 69 hood, and body worked a "peak" on the 67/68 header to make it work with the 69 hood until they could find a 69 header panel and grilles. I think it was a person on here named "teeth & tires" that did that.

I rebuilt a set of 69 barracuda grilles for my sons car. It was tough for me even in the USA to redo them. Took me over a year to piece a good set together, I have so much time in them they are not for sale. Your 69 is a very nice condition barracuda. Welcome to Fabo. I wish you all the best.

Someone made the change to the header grille, it's interesting to me.
I would like to know about the 69 grilles go up to the 67/68 header grille.

69 grilles will not fit 67/68 header panel. They kept the 67/68 grilles and header. Then modified the header in the middle to fit the 69 hood. The restoration thread is called "biohazard" the author called himself "teeth & tires" he passed away early this year.
 
Welcome. I agree with others that your car looks very nice as it is, But I totally agree with you to find the 69 front parts. You must decide whether you want to pay the money for them. By the time you buy all the parts you will need and pay a huge price for shipping, you will probably be over $5,000. Then you will have body work and paint. I also agree to post a request for the parts you want in this forum under "Wanted" Good luck. I lived in Germany 81-84 while in the US Air Force. We visited France many times. We really liked it. It is a beautiful country with excellent food, amazing wine and friendly people.

I actually like the 67/68 front end with the 69 rear end. I think it is the best of all the years put together. I love the 67-68 hood With the inserts. I don’t know why the killed them in 69.

I can imagine. That’s why I recommended placing a Wanted add because there are members in Europe that may have something.
