Is there a way to order carpet from ACC with the better level of loop carpet? What do you ask for? Can you specify the better material if you go to a middleman like Legendary? Can you (66vert) provide a better heel pad that we could use to replace the crappy one?

Right now what is saving me in the heel pad department is the factory floor mats that Legendary sells. In the 1980s I bought a 70 Dart with the factory floor mats in it and when they started wearing around 1999, I took the originals to Legendary and they started repoping them with their own pattern for the back (the originals were different, had a pentastar, smaller spikes, and instructions of where to cut for console cars), but the top if very correct with a hellacious thick rubber heel pad.

yes you can, but it's going to have to be over the phone. Also with the weavers being down for corona virus hits you might not be able to get the color you want or have to wait for it. I know they have dark blue, no lighter blue. no reds and no greens of any type yet (Dalton weavers are getting back into production though so they might get some stock in). They (ACC) don't have an option anymore for the upgraded carpet online. But Call and just ask the sales person which one has more fibers per ounce Nylon is more durable but does fade even if it is not in direct sunlight worse than rayon/nylon loop though, so it's sort of "do I want longer color or longer life choice" (it'll be either the 500 series or 600 series for loop, I always get confused on that one) and the extra plush for the cut pile. your going to get a crappy heel pad either way you go though so keep your floor mats
