What has FABO done for you?

When I joined I was still looking for a 64 or 65 Dart. After I found my 64 I got many good pieces of advise but unfortunately my health and available space to work diminished and I had to sell the car. By then I felt like I had friends even though I had never met them. I got off to a bad start with a couple people but now find everything they post a must read. I spend a lot of time now in the Political threads where "friendly" discussions happen. In the general forum I have been fortunate to win the NHRA "Pick em" game 2 years in a row( no chance this year :steering: ) which does a lot of good for your ego. Even though my days of owning a classic are over I feel a lot of comradery here and will stay.

Well the truth of it is my journey is not the same as most. Have bantered with a bunch and certainly learned alot about A Bodies that I did not know. Found a good Vendor or 2 (PRH is at the top of the list for sure) and have sold some stuff and bought more than I needed to....

What it has done for me is make me realize how lucky I was to enjoy these cars in an era when they were not ridiculously over priced and out of reach for entry level gearheads and average income families... I have one left and when it's back to being road worthy it will certainly find a new owner...

The spice of life is all flavors and revisiting the Car life if fun to chat about but ends there. This board is a clean of a forum as you will find which is pretty rare these days.... Lot's of good people on here for sure...

Have met some good friends on the east side of the country that I would not even have known exists.....That is what FABO has done for me......:thumbsup:

I probably spend too much time here. I've got much help from folks and It's appreciated. I wish the E-body forum had some people's but it pretty much Suck's. So I just stay on here and Bbodies. Between here and there I've met a lot of great people. And have become friends with some. So hat's off to Joey for a Great Adult playground.

Right now, I'm a b body student on an A+ site. Currently, building a car isn't one of my top priorities, but I jump on here and a few other sites and get inspired by some builds, and pick up on ideas for mine, and a few parts as well. Mostly, I hang out with the Last post crowd, which are great guys to be with, but also venture into the funny threads as well. Best thing is, I haven't encountered any judgement here on my part for not posting my activities, which was a constant problem on FBBO. I have a good time in the Nascar fantasy thread, and am looking forward to the Secret Santa again this year.

I've got to say I've learned a lot from quite a few of you. With out all of your knowledge and friendliness to help out those of us that need it means tons. I've also met members in person from all from all over the country and have become friends with most of them. I dont think that would of happened if I didnt stumble upon this forum. Thanks @AdamR for starting it and thanks @Joeychgo for keeping it going.

Acceptance. Welcomed with open arms. Massive knowledge base. And not just cars either. A person could read for months and learn all kinds of interesting things. Bet somewhere here there are discussions about preparing wild game for the dinner table.

so much knowledge from so many walks of life can be found here on fabo.
And it seems the bad apples seem to weed themselves out.

ratio of good to bad is like 10,000:1.
Adam set the standard and Joey maintained it. Thanks to you all for a great 3 years.

I was working on my Dart convertible for years before I discovered FABO. Dead ends on the endless part hunt and a lot of problems putting her back together til I stopped by here. I can't tell you how many parts on the car came from members here, good advice and more importantly inspiration to push forward. I love the joking and interplay between members too, feels just like family. Heres to many more years!

Best Mopar site on the world wide interweb. The only place I can come and find a bunch of likeminded people who don't call a duster a nova. Wealth of info and resources and it is just plain fun.

This is by far the best Mopar site on the planet. I have been on a few other sites but none even compare to this one. I am on Joey’s other sites but the only other one with any amount of traffic is FBBO.This site has the best bunch of guy and gals. I have bought and sold lots of parts on here. Kim

Ive learned alot since I joined. Sad to say we lost a few along the way. I think Dell would be my stand out. When I first joined I was in the middle of wiring my Dart. Never auto wired before I was having a hard time understanding. I must of asked him a billion
questions but he was always patient and theres so many others JimLusk , RRR.
Now it feels good to pass that on to newbees

When I started here I had just purchased my first A body ( 72 Demon) I had always had E bodies and honestly still do. The difference between this site and FEBO is dramatic. I have traveled all over and met so many of the members. To a man or woman they are great. I have not been on FEBO in a couple of years so maybe it got better, I don’t know? Once I found this mob it has been A bodies all the way. Many have been in my shop and I in theirs. And the money time and effort the membership has saved me on the Demon project is immeasurable. This is the only place where you can stuff a modern Hemi in a old car then pack up and meet a buddy with a pristine every bolt correct car and have a blast. Zero judgment here, build it your way! Not to say members are not opinionated as they most certainly are, but never with malice. Just plain passionate. Hats off to both Adam and Joey.

When I had my ebody I was on the cuda challenger forum and I met a couple really great guys over there but for the most part they where self righteous pricks. If you did have a 100 point restoration or didn't have endless amounts of money to put into a project they didn't really want to see what you were doing. Its not like here. Here most everyone seems to understand and even support a budget build, just trying to get the car on the road and driving it and enjoying it. I didn't get that feeling over there I always felt like I was beneath them.
