Got some very sad news today

A8E89CC9-47FD-495A-A3AA-B091EFAB16D3.jpeg I am extremely sad writing this. I have mentioned before on here that my girlfriend has a very good friend that has long been a fuel funny car assistant crew chief/crew chief for some of the big name teams. I havent mentioned his name because I was merely an acquaintance/friend and not as close to him as she was. Nor do I like name dropping to sound cool. I heard tonight that he has passed in an odd scenario of events, most of which we do not know at this point. What we do know is that he was in Huston staying there in between the NHRA fall nationals and the NHRA spring nationals and was hit by a car and lost his life. I was fortunate enough to have met and spend time with him in the pits at the winter nationals and the finals in Pomona a few years running and got to know him a little over the span of that time. He was a wonderful guy, always happy, always willing to answer my dumb questions about fuel cars and got my girlfriend and I VIP access to the NAPA team for a few races. I feel so sorry for his wife and little girl and wish I could do something for them. Eric Lang (hop sing) Rest In Peace my friend, thank you for the great memories. We will not forget you.
