Oh, and my carb seems to be slightly sticking open a little bit. I've tried different springs but I feel like none of them are really worked all that well.
I've run into the same issue - my cable can sometimes be a bit sticky. I did what I could to lube it a bit and it seemed to help a ton.
Does your kickdown cable have a spring on it at the transmission?
