Recommendations please?

It bolts to an existing bracket I believe.

Like this........

I did miss that. Still, I don't see it. Your bracket has a horizontal mount, mine is vertical. You end up vertical, with the 90ยบ bend of the piece giving some lift. I would end up horizontal, giving me some offset.

Kudos for giving me another chance. Still, I think not.

You DO need to get that thing at least powder coated...for speed/quickness etc. etc. ;)

Maybe I could flatten it out. Hhhmmmm.....

My bracket is not something out of the ordinary..it's OEM as far as I know. I tried taking pics of it as installed, but got nothing satisfactory. In Daves link result, I just noticed a redirect that has perfect pics of exactly what I have:

This is the link to it...although I wouldn't expect the 'auction' to be live in perpetuity.

At least, credit to where the pic came from.

This just occurred to me (I think slow): I can get some barrel spacers at the local hardware store, grind angles to the ends that match the angle of the existing bracket-to-manifold, get to the UPlift I want. The existing bracket would likely work fine, the carb linkage running an arc. Just seems reasonable to keep the 'bend' of the throttle cable to a minimum.

I bought a bit longer throttle cable (a 19.75" one if anyone is keeping track) to give me some room to move. A couple of angled spacers I think should work just fine.
