They're expensive, but check out an ATI Super Damper. Have one on my 340. Bought it because I ran one for years on my mini-stock circle track truck. Turning 5200 - 8200 RPM's every race. At the end of each season, bearing wear was about non-existent, and the engine ran noticeably smoother throughout the RPM range. Worth every penny to me.
