Messing with my wagon still. I have the manual window crank for the rear window. The knob or piece that you hang on to is really wobbly, like it might fall off. Does anyone have a fix or modification for this to fix it? The knob is on a post. The post slides through the window crank handle and the end of the knob post is smashed or mushroomed out to keep it from falling out of the handle, no bolts or nuts or hardware of any sort.

Mine was like that also

EDIT: I got rid of that hand crank and changed the window to power operated. Of course you gotta change the complete tailgate to do it!

I bought a rust free, manual window tailgate a few years back. Of course about a week after I bought it and paid to have shipped across the USA I came across a power window tailgate. Unfortunately I blew my budget on the first tailgate.

Really? You can't just swap the regulator/motor/etc.? What's different inside?

IDK if the main brackets are the same or if different, what the difference is. There are other considerations as well - wiring (which is more than just up/down), and externally where the manual handle/electrically operated switch mounts.

It looks correct. I can take the same oics of my 65 regulator to compare
