Hello Everybody,
I hope someone can help fill in the missing pieces for me. I have been through what seems like a million pages decoding my block. Got most of it but I am stuck on the final numbers. Please correct me if am wrong but this is what I have so far.
PT 225 R 2450949. PT = Trenton plant, 225 self explanatory, R = Passenger car, 2450949 from what I can tell should be build dates but makes no sense to me.
The number on the block as per the picture is a casting number that dates it to 1968.
Appreciate any advice you may have.

I think more of the info you need is in this thread: No Vin Stamp? - post #18

In that case, the number worked out like this:

PT: Assembly Plant
225: Engine Size
R: Regular Fuel
2482: Assembly date on the Mopar 10,000 day calendar (Day 2482 is Tuesday, May 14, 1968 )
047: 47th assembled that day.

So, that would indicate that for your car - the first 3 are the same,
the assembly date would be (from https://maxwedge.com/articles/10k.php) Day 2454 is Tuesday, April 16, 1968
And the next 3 would be 094 - 94th car?

The 9 afterwards is puzzling, though...it's also down lower, like it was stamped later? (but the 0 is a little high, too?)

HTH!

2806830-4
2806830 = partnumber casted in the block
4 = indicates the fourth mold used for this engine block

The number 4 actually indicates pattern 4.
In the green sand engine block casting business the item that makes the form or shape in the sand is the pattern. The resulting form or shape is the mold.
For high volume parts like an automotive engine block there are normally several patterns in use that produce the same part number mold. The external features of that block were made by the mold that was made by pattern number 4. For that same block part number there would also be pattern 1, 2, 3 and maybe 5, 6 and up.
