Some yes, but not this one. Steve Brule is a stand up guy and Westec is a stand up operation. They are local to me and I have had engines on their dyno. They do not “fudge” numbers here. The only deviation from a stock bottom end on that engine was ring gap. Stock crank, rods, pistons, from like 1984 or something. Dulcich ported the head, shaved it and decked the block to get compression up. And they ran it on 116 the weak link was the head gasket as slants have dinky little head bolts and only 4 per cylinder.
