you right dodge been out of it for long time now, joey arrington laid my half brother off the day mopar pulled out! went from a nascar engine dept to maintenance man at miller brewing in short order!! now days cant even get him to look at a mopar motor for me!!They should be cheaper than that. Mopar hasn't been in the racing biz for quite a few years. There was a Duster at the local strip with a truck engine in it. Sounded like nothing else there. He had a hard time getting it to hook. 800+ horse at 9000 rpm. You almost need pro stock suspension and tires.
That's exactly what I thought when I saw that add last week.Know of several R5 P7engines, fresh ready to run for under 10k complete ready to run that have sold. Buddy of mine bought one and ran it in a Dart, well under 10k
Nobody will pay 25k, thats insane

The guy I bought my Indy headed R1 from bought several nascar engines, ready to run. At the time he already had one in a tube chassis Duster and one on a pipe rack. He told me it was the best hp per dollar out there.
They're a good engine but also very limited on what you can do to them. They don't lend themselves to mods, so you'd better like them 'as is'. They're also not a low-end power engine, so don't drop one in a heavy vehicle and expect it to do well. By 'heavy', I mean probably 3200lbs+ if it's a drag car.
