Greetings to all the "A" body fans out there. I currently don't have a car but I keep on hoping … At least I still have my Mig Welder, Turbo Sprayer, and tools. Now only if I will be permitted to get a car. I am curious as to whatever happened to my old car. In Apr, 78 ( or close to it ) I traded it in for a new car and I know that it was taken up the street ( Military Hwy, Norfolk, VA ) to a used car lot ( Ribs Auto Sales ). It is very distinctive … 69 Scat Pack Dart, the Frost Green color, black vinyl top, and the scat pack stripe was messed up from the factory. It was a white stripe that was placed too far forward of the rear quarter panel side lights so that they didn't have to cut out the stripe. Maybe this car was built on Halloween, a weekend, grave yard shift, or a holiday. The car had the 340, 3:23 Posi, 4 speed, black interior, the factory little brown ball on the shifter, and the chrome box tips. maybe someone out there knows what happened to it. Anyhow, I'm looking forward to studying the site. Bob

Welcome aboard from Minnesota. This site is the best and if your car is still out there there's probably somebody here that might be able to help you out. Good luck! Steve

Welcome from the motor city! No such thing as too many mopar fans!

Thanks to all … I am looking forward to reading many threads so I can learn as much as possible. Bob

Welcome to the madness Bobby!!

I lived in Va. Beach and worked in Norfolk from 2011-2015. You should get ahold of Butch Hora to ask about your car. He was president of the very large Tidewater Mopar Club. When I left he was working as the SRT manager (I know, right...what a great job) at the Dodge dealer on Virginia Beach Blvd.

Better yet, join the club and start going to meetings! Then you'll meet a lot of people to ask.

Thanks for the info. Now I have to figure out how to get a hold of Butch. Bob

Try calling the dealership and asking for him. Its Hall Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram on Virginia Beach Blvd. If I had his job I would never quit!!

He's a great guy and would be glad to talk with you. You can tell him Terry Trace referred you to him but he may not remember me. I had my 66 Barracuda at club events.

Thanks Terry. I may have met him before. I did their State required pressure vessel inspections a few months ago for their insurance carrier so I'm familiar with the dealership. I usually am in Tidewater one or two days a week so I may stop in. Bob

Take some pictures along if you have any. Always helps people remember.

Welcome aboard from the frozen tundra! I had many favorable memories from your neck of the woods. When I was TAD in Norfolk I earned extra money bouncing in a bar out in Hilltop called the Branding Iron. No idea if it exists today? I could not believe my luck, as a young Marine getting paid to throw quarrelsome drunk Sailors out of a bar was like a dream job! I had a blast! Good luck on finding a new ride.

I will take the pictures with me. And on one of my previous visits there were three new T / A Challengers sitting on the back lot. It took a lot of restraint to leave there without signing some papers. Maybe it is because I knew that signing those papers probably would mean signing Divorce papers as well. There's a reason that I have been married for 44 plus years !!! Bob

Lol. You're a smart man!!

For some reason that dealership sells a lot of high end Challengers and Chargers.

Quick story. After we moved back to Georgia from Va. Beach I saw a convertible Challenger at the local cruise-in. I walked up to the owner and asked "did you buy this from Butch Hora at Hall?" Surprised the crap out of him! Hall is authorized to sell custom convertibles done by Drop Top Customs in Florida. They still retain the factory warranty.

I kinda miss living in Va. Beach but tucked away in North Georgia is much quieter.
