Things will get somewhat better with the arrival of the new pup.

At one time we had a chihuahua and a Lab and had to put down the chihuahua. The Lab actually would howl at night from the loss.

So we went to the SPCA and found our next dog. They became the best of friends.

A Vet later told us it's best to take your other dog(s) with you and let them see the deceased pet. That gives them closure.
