I don't f'k with trees like that. I will take a straight one down, or leaning in a direction it won't hit anything. Just too much weight and **** happens fast when they let go... I have one I will probably end up paying to have removed. Silver maple with a double trunk. Not a big deal other than it makes a mess on my shed roof and part of the reason the sides don't dry out and turn green...Should have done it 10 years ago. Little more than I am comfortable with now. I got a quote of $550 last year when they were working next door. That's with them dropping it and chipping the branches and me cutting up the firewood.
