No matter how ugly the car or how much of a lemon it was, there are cult followings for every one. The allure of a project for some folks or having something that is quite uncommon trumps the poor financial decision it would be.

back in the early 80s my high school friend Kirk and I worked at the local Ford dealer. They also sold Yugos. We had one with a bad engine. We were trying to get it from Ford for a song, because the customer made Ford buy it back through arbitration. We were going to put a 5.0 and a T5 in it. But alas, it was not to be. They wouldn't sell it to us. lol
