Big Block - Mini Starter Interference

Have any of you big block guys had clearance issues with the mini starter?

I went to install my 96 Dakota starter on my 400 block, and the body of the starter seems to be hitting the half moon cut out on the block. There does seem to be a little casting flash in that area, so I'm sure it's nothing a little die grinder work won't take care of - just wondering how common this is. The terminals clear perfectly.

Yep. My 383 same issue with 90's Dakota starter. I also needed to remove wire terminal offset on starter.
 
Thanks guys. I'm glad to hear this isn't unfounded. I plan on busting out the die grinder tomorrow. Here's a photo of where it's rubbing.
