Finally able to buy my replacement parts for suspension rebuild. Obviously its been a crazy year and money is tight.
Among other parts, Im upgrading to 1.03 bars. Im wondering if its a good idea to go ahead and do the leafs now too. It might price me out of my budget, but that what credit cards are for...lol.
Im not sure exactly how to identify my current leafs, but there are 5 leafs. The bottom being that very thin one. So like 4.5. Measure 2.5" wide and 35" from center to rear eye. On a 69 Dart...originally a /6. No part #s I can see.
Looking for replacement recomendations please.
Any other info u need, let me know.
Thanks

and what are you looking to do with the car? for a good general spring i'd get the 69' 340 swinger springs from Eaton

Check with General Spring. They have a few options and are better and cheaper than the Super Stock springs I've seen.

I got the HD 6 leaf epso’s +1” and the 1.03” torsion bars. My suspension is so solid I could pull a tractor trailer with it.

Its a weekend cruiser.
Really didnt think about replacing them until I thought about how they would be with the 1.03 bars.
Dont need a "race" setup. Looking for a nice, but solid ride without changing the stance too much.
Also...no rear sway if that makes a difference.
Ill check out Espo. Thanks.

I agree and as posted above, specify 6 leaf springs arched 1 -2 inches over stock depending on your preferred stance. The springs will settle over a year or so assuming you drive it much. Springs will come with the new front bushings pressed in place, but replace the rear bushings too. I think that this is relatively inexpensive compared to other projects.
