Yeah but it didn't come apart until you took it apart, did it? It was still running but knockin. I had a friend that had a 307 Chevy that did that. It knocked for like three years until we finally pulled it down and it was broken in a very similar spot. Three years he drove it like that. It never quit until we parked it to fix it.
