thanks

i bought it last year to replace the bronco that i just couldnt depend on
i would have held out for a hemi ram, but i was able to buy this off a buddy of mine for the right price

funny story, one thing that always annoyed me about this truck is that has an open rear end
(the bronco did too, but that wasnt a 1 ton truck)
so i finally pried open the old wallet the other day and got a hold of a diesel shop to see if they could put in a LSD
he was suprised too it didnt come with one, and after he ran the numbers, it turns out it DID, it just quit working

so i dropped it off friday and picked it up monday
wouldnt you know it...now its leaking

so i send some picks of it to the shop, and they said they would order a new cover, it probably rusted through

so this morning i went in, they swapped it out, and i was on my way again

asked them what the damage is and the guy said not to worry about it, they should have never put the old one back on

not sure i know what you mean by staggered, but they are on different circuits, and in different spots
I meant to say stacked. Install the second one maybe 6" higher than the other one. So if the water gets too high then the second one kicks in. That way you only run one pump at a time unless you really need it.

we bought this house about 5 years ago and i only knew about the one pump

then last year we had water come in, so i had a guy come out to the house and snake a camera through the drain field pipes...but he couldnt find an issue

a few weeks later, i found this

that is what looks like an irrigation pipe, and i never gave it much thought...untill one day water started tricking in through it

i finally put two and two together and pulled that wooden panel up, thats underneath it and sure enough...

my guess is that is a secondary sump pit, added later and it only fills up when the ground water gets real high
(hard to tell in that pic, but shes at the top)

so i dropped a second sump pump in there, and it doesnt run near as much as the "main" one

thanks

there is one section where i put a nail in the top, and it pulls it in too tight, i may go out tomorrow to address that, but overall im happy with it
