I dont get it ... are there more people restoring 68 Satelites than 68 Barracudas ? The Barracuda trim is much less complex and should be a bigger profit margin .
 
I would agree that there may be more B-Bodies in general being restored... Chargers , Road Runners , Super Bees, GTXs , R/Ts ... even a few Coronet 500s . But I cant imagine there are a slew of Satelites with that specific finish panel being restored to the level requiring repopped finish panels.
Just seems odd ....

Where as every 68 Barracuda uses the same trim ....

I wish anyone would make practically anything for 66 satellite...

That piece is the same piece that goes on a 68 RR as well, just painted differently. Makes sense to paint it to fit multiple trim models,like the Satellites and Roadrunners, instead of building a new mold to cater to just one model, like your 68 Barracuda.

They made way more 68 Barracudas than 69 Barracudas...

But they repopped the 69 trunk trim years ago.

Sometimes what happens is one company announces/rumors they are going to repro a part.... then on one else will do it..... then first person never does it.

Laysons did start repro’ing 68 trunk trim. But in stainless. Much sturdier than OE aluminum. But looks little different and much more expensive than the 69 repro.

Years ago I used to be set up next to them at the Monster Mopar show in St. Louis. Good couple of guys. I've also used some of the stuff over the years. Looking good in a picture is one thing. How well it fits is another. Some of it fits good and some doesn't fit at all. It is all made in China of course thus the prices. They are trying to provide parts at affordable prices.

After 6 months of waiting we have them in stock again 65-66 C-Body gas tanks, galvanized like the originals. These guys are amazing! I have bought some of these parts from them and they are great! I can’t imagine how much time and money they have put into some parts. This is over the top-fuel tanks for C bodies
