Original wheels mounted on original tires, no repop. Some of you might have seen that pic on the 340 Dusters, Demons & Darts facebook group.

Here are a few updates on my project. Car is almost ready for the Out of Province Inspection.

After some research on original cars, I did notice all of the original paint/stripes 71 Duster 340 used the Duster cloud decal on tail panel instead of the common Duster 340 cloud decal.

I did find an original Plymouth trunk emblem. These are smaller than hood one and they have no pins.

Plymouth trunk emblem installed,
Duster cloud decal replaced the Duster 340 cloud decal.
Also, we are now abble to get custom liscence plate in Québec, so I did buy the 340 plate.

Scored this 2863215 fan from an other 71 Duster 340. I did send the 2863233 fan clutch to Kirkconnell Corvette in Florida for restoration.

Original 2998325 fan shroud. It’s been pretty hard to find one. Freshly repainted. Original fan is also repainted with correct stamping on both side.

It's looking Great! I find the rear decal interesting. It's my belief that early builds received the "Duster340" cloud decal, and then they switched to just the "Duster" cloud decal. The original brochure/literature cars and the ones in the films of the day has just the "Duster" cloud decal so I feel that is the most correct.

To follow my post about the Duster cloud decal instead of Duster 340 cloud on tail panel, here are some pictures I did collect about press release and original paint/stripes car.

Old thread but cool car....any updates?
Some pictures from this summer. I bought new seats cover from Legendary. New dash pad and cluster trim bezel, also bought new inside door handle, window crank handle and shifter boot trim. I got an other set of original 340 steelies (14x5.5) painted blue like the car came with when new. I did a 3-step polish on the +20 years old single stage paint and added two-coat of Carpro UK3.0 ceramic coating on, now it’s really gloss.
