Did the Good Guys here in Scottsdale this weekend. This year the event was limited to 2000 entries but still open to the public. 100 percent mask enforcement meaning masks on in your car, masks while walking even if socially distanced. Did the swap on Friday and Ivan say it was a challenge. It was in the mid 80s by noon. There were some that had face shields. I saw the mask nazis giving them a hard time but had to relent because the entry rules didn’t disallow face shields.

Not much in Mopar stuff with the exception of some early Hemi parts. But that’s ok because it kinda nice being able to do a swap meet.

Saturday I took the GTS. Had to wear a mask while driving to my parking spot. Had to wear a mask while sitting by your car even if nobody around. Cars were spaced 10 feet apart and yes they had a lot of mask nazis enforcing masks. Even witnessed a situation they told guy that was eating that he has to mask between bites. He called them on that and the event officials intervened. Lack of common sense.

Again kinda nice to attend a large event even though wearing a mask was a PIA. Lots of interesting conversations and nice people with a common interest. The yellow GTS seem to draw attention.

Oh, and no I didn’t take a lot of pictures. That would of involved a lot of walking wearing that damn mask, sorry.

Well at least you knew the mask rules before showing up and abided by them.

Their event so they can make the rules. If wearing a mask is that much of an issue, then don’t go.

Glad you got to go to a car show. To me if the mask makes you feel safe, then I shouldn’t have to wear one if I don’t want to.

Safety sometimes takes a little more time and effort compared to not considering safety at all.

I wonder what correlation there is between folks who don’t wear a mask and those who think all the security requirements to board a commercial flight are a waste of time?

If there were two flights going to the same city and one required no security checks while the other had the usual security checks, would you hop on the flight with no security screening?

I don’t understand the backlash about wearing masks is. I wear a bandanna, so I am an 8 year old play Cowboys and Redmen or an 60’s Indy car driver

I don't give a crap about masks. This is a car forum. Post up some car show pictures or go home. Put that mask junk in the political section.

I may be mistaken, but it seems like masks are a problem for you. Did you enjoy your day at all.

No, not really however I have cardio vascular disease and breathing through the mask sometimes causes a slight problem for me. My cardiologist has warned me that Pleurisy has become a problem for some people in that with a mask on for an extended period of time you are breathing in your own bacteria. I keep my mask on my dash and let direct sunlight kill the germs.

My buddy Greg made the rounds taking pics yesterday so I’ll post his

Love that old Pontiac. What is that like a 61 "or so"? Thanks for posting the pictures. Awesome.

61. Didn’t see the engine. It had a 4 speed. 8 lug wheels

Those wheels are extremely rare. I worked at a tire store when I was a kid. We had an old guy come in and he paid us to convert his old Pontiac to accept the standard five lug wheels. He GAVE ME everything that came off 8 lug related. Drums, brakes, wheels.....all that. I racked up at a local swap meet after that. lol

Love that Pontiac bubble top.. think it's a Catalina. 389/421 either would be great in that car. Guy in school had a Grand Prix with those wheels, things weighed a ton but look really nice. I remember they had that tri-colored interiors. Great car.

Yep 61 Catalina bubble top- beautiful cars!! Thanks for the pics!!!
