The numbers are definitely low, but as I said in my initial post, the car never smoked at all before the intake/carb swap.
While going through the service manual, it occurred to me that I never bothered to check and see how well the regular breather I installed at the front of the valve cover flowed.
Turns out, it was not flowing well at all, in fact I could barely blow or suck through it. So removed some of the foam material in it and opened up the baffle a bit, now it's getting good flow through it. Took the car for a drive and so far it seems as if the problem is fixed. I'll continue to drive the car and report back with any continuing tomfoolery.
