Nice day so drove the Dart to Walmart. Just as I pulled in to the parking lot, the car died.
Tried to restart several times, every time it starts then immediately dies.
Start, die, start, die.

Any ideas, looking down the carb it squirts when I push the gas. It's obviously getting enough spark to start, just won't stay running.

What type ignition you running? And what year is this vehicle?

Something in the ballast (bad) ignition run circuit, etc.

Ballast cooked? Try jumpering the ballast. If you have nothing with you just take the wire terminal off one side and twist it against the other. See if it runs and it'll get you home..

always carry a ballast resistor and ignition mod.in my cars.i take it you dont

Got it fixed, popped the fuse for my ignition relay. A real nice fellow hot rodder in a Ford truck stopped to help. He spotted the red light on my accessory fuse block when I was trying to start it.

Only had a 10 amp fuse with me, which got it running again, then I went on into walmart and bought some 20's.
The one that popped was a 15 and was probably not adequate.
