Music/ songwriters who should never have tried to be singers

good for her

i saw her on TV a while ago for a commercial (some sort of eczema cream or something) and i remember thinking "she looks familiar"

took me a while to put 2 and 2 together[/QUOTE]

If it's the same commercial I'm thinking of, she still hasn't let that really bad haircut grow out yet

im surprised no one mentioned meatloaf yet
i always liked him, but i didnt think too many other people do

I've pretty much successfully tried to forget about him, until YOU JUST MENTIONED HIM!!! LOLOL

I'm listening to Ozzy right now..
He is like many that have a voice only a mother could love
But it fitted BS quite well.

Ozzy sure could find good guitar players.

...and was a heck of a song writer.

Who wrote all Ozzy's solo material?

ozzy never wrote a song in his life.geezer did the writing in bs

I was burned out on Led Zeppelin like that for almost 20 years.

I finally got over it about 10 years ago, and have been going a little deeper than the traditional radio songs.
(Except for Misty Mountain Hop, who doesn't love a Hobbit themed hard rock song?)

I never get tired of Zeppelin, especially the album tracks that don't get airplay these days.

The thing that got me out of burnout mode was actually Classic Albums Live.

They performed Houses Of The Holy, track for track and then a mixed second set including a 100% dead on Kashmir.

Their guitar player is incredible. I've never seen anyone do one Jimmy Page song dead on, and this guy did 10-12 dead on 100%, slop and everything. Even had a Theramin for Whole Lotta Love!

WELL worth the $12 ticket.

...and the next month my wife won tickets to CAL Van Halen II.

That guy was about 95%, but still a good show, and who does EVH 100%?

Song writing doesn't pay nearly as well as performing. Kudos to all these songwriters and musicians who are born with or can develop a unique style of phasing and/or tone behind the microphone.

Guns n roses, poison, Jon bon Jovi, def leppard, janis joplin, plus anything rap or hip hop. Any more I shake my head when I hear the new recruits to the rock and roll hall of fame, about half of the last 5 years worth (at least) of inductees definitely don't belong there

Def leppard vs Ringo
I'll take Ringo every time

Not sure if she was mentioned but yoko ono singing makes me feel like i ate severely rotted cheese. Hated tom jones too.

Like Led Zeppelin mainly the more obscure pieces also some prog rock like Pink Floyd, ELP. Dire Straits, Pete Townshend

Are they still doing these ? I don't normally like remakes of music but there are some exceptions.
