Thought I would share pictures of a '67 Barracuda fastback I am putting together for a friend who lives in Prince George. The car was originally torn down and had new quarters and some other metal work done by a shop down the road, but after some complications, the owner pulled the car from there and had it taken to a guy named Mike Watson out in Whiskey Creek. The car is now at my place, where I've been reassembling it.

It's a 273 2 bbl, 904, 8 3/4. I have upgraded it to small pattern front discs, had the transmission rebuilt, and went through the 273. I upgraded to stainless front and rear window trim, new headliner, new trunk trim, remote mirror, dash pad, fixed the gas and temp gauge, painted the cluster, new cat whiskers, new bumpers from AMD, had the front grills and surrounds restored locally, etc etc etc.

The first picture is when it was in limbo between shops, and was just sprayed in epoxy.

Back at my place.. The color is a Nissan color, Indigo Blue I believe. Basically, so dark blue is nearly looks purple. Yes, the engine bay is flat black. The owner didn't have the budget to body work and spray the engine bay body color.

Most of the interior was what he already had, with the exception of the headliner and dash pad, and like mentioned, I painted the dash frame and cluster.

Nice work!

How long was it in the other shops for and how was the quality of the body work at the other shops? It would be a shame for your work to complete the car needing to be redone in a few years due to bubbling?

The first shop had it for about 6 months, maybe a bit less. The owner paid quite a bit more than he was expecting, and pulled it from their shop before any filler went on. The next guy in Whiskey Creek did the filler work, and painted it. I fully trust his work, he has been in the business for years and subs out for big professional shops in the area. He's very knowledgeable, and puts out a great product.
