I hate to sound like a downer, but it's a 55 yr old car It's going to have issues. If you're not handy at working on things you need to do one two things learn as much as you by reading forums and reading a service manual and see what you can do. If that's not working you'll have to find someone you trust that can and probably pay out for it. The reality it's really hard for us to help you over the Internet if you're not sure dealing with overall.
