Are these moldings stainless steel, and can you braze them?

Remember these, off '70s and '80s Mopars? Can these be repaired by brazing with brass rod?

Depends, they used both anodized aluminum and stainless over the years. Hard to tell from the pic. You can braze stainless but why? It would have to be painted after.

Thanks, I understand now that it is probably anodized aluminum. These body moldings for a '70s Mopar dually are totally NLA.

Would you guys please take a look at these pictures and give me your opinions?:

I hope you guys don't mind if I bump this thread up again. Thanks very much for all of your replies.

Can anybody refer me to someone who can cut, shorten, modify, etc. these moldings for me? Thanks again.

Bill, I think your going to have to seek out a trim repair specialist. Someone who does this daily. Or source used and restore.
Or, an excellent tig weldor, who has modern low amp, or pulse equipment, whos experience is mostly aluminum sheetmetal.
Or an excellent gas weldor of sheetmetal/trim using modern alloys, fluxes etc.
Personally I might attempt stainless with my antique Tig machine but what you have is most likely aluminum, and I bet they used poor quality, just good enough.
I think flame would be your best bet.
good luck
