Finally got the engine in my car! Its been a long hard road and it feels great.

Wow....Not making much progress today. I did get the bell housing all cleaned primed and painted. I bought some little pointed tool with a grease fitting in the end to pull out the pilot bearing. The new bearing which I installed on the trans before I brought it to be rebuilt fit like a glove on the input shaft. The tool snugged up about a 1/2 inch away from the end of the pilot bushing that came with the clutch kit. Well I went to install into the pilot bushing in the crank and it went right through. I tried the grease and bread tricks and nothing was getting the bushing to move at all. I went to Advanced Auto and borrowed the puller they offer and still not moving. I ended up very carefully using a small chisel and punch and got the damn thing out. Oh the pain. Took me way to long. Was supposed to have my steering removed enough to get the oil pan down. Maybe later. Have to go pick up my son from school.
 
I finished welding the new Floorpan in my latest builder car. This afternoon I will install the subframe connectors. Once that is done the car goes on my rotisserie!

Baking today as I'm babysitting for my sister's Daughter. It's as close to B5 Blue as I could get. Lol

A really good tape job. And spray it. But use pin stripping tape around the paint edge first.
 
Tape off all the silver. And spray the black. I'm guessing the silver is polished something? Find the widest pin stripe tape you can for the edges. And just blue tape for the bulk of the tail light. Start a small section and post it before you go hog wild on it. I'll walk you thru it. Get a brand new X-acto blade just for this job only.

Oh I'll take the bezels off like I did with my front, and its anodized aluminum like the front as well.

Its easier to take them off and tape, not worry about taping the lenses. I bought one of them fancy exacto knives, it worked really well on the front.

Post before hog wild... lol.
 
That took a hour not to cut thru the vinyl. And I have one more. Plus the window crank. It's the opening for the arm rest on new door panels from Legendary

Knocked out all the plugs for arm rest window crank and clips. That only took 3 hrs. 3 more panels to go.

Thank you and yes I'm liking it, my wife said my face lit up when she sent me the edited before and after pictures..

I'm going to polish the aluminum and trim some more and then I have some Sharkhide Aluminum coating coming on Sunday and I'll cover everything with a protective coating.
 
Drove 40 miles (each way) in the rain to pick up my two recertified and now filled nitrous bottles, and the old 5 lb CO2 extinguisher that was last certified in 1965. It passed hydrotest and was recharged too.
Now I can make trouble and put it out, if necessary :D
