727 tf slipping when cold

The throttle pressure linkage or cable (kickdown) should be hooked up and operational before the car is ever moved. Hopefully, you didn't do any permanent damage. However, if it was unattached before then the transmission is probably in need of repair. No, don't tie it back. Get it hooked up right. These aren't Chevys. They cannot operate without that linkage without burning up the transmission......and in very short order.

Might have been tied back before i change shifter. I also had the carb of at some point so I probably removed anything holding the linkage back. So I take it from the replies here that I need to install the linkage and pray there are no permanent damage :)
