Kind of a long shot, but I wanted to see if anyone may have a stock A body fuel sending unit for a 16 Gal tank for sale. Looking for one for my 1973 Valiant.

Looks like this:

Is this one factory. I’ve never seen that style from factory. Mine are all this style. Kim

That's the factory style? I always thought the one that I included in the picture was Factory I see the one that you have listed everywhere but from what I've read and experienced they're not accurate and don't function correctly the one I had pictured above is one that I had in a 1972 Valiant and it worked for a bit but now I'm having some issue.

If you have your ORIGINAL not aftermarket sender, Google Wolf & Sons. Contact them & send yours to them to have it refurbished, you will not be disappointed.

Mine have all been like I pictured. 68-74 dart, demon and duster. They even have the factory part number on them along with the fratzog. Does yes have the factory part number and the fratzog? Kim

Whats a fratzog? Mine is still in the tanks, it functions but I think it may need to be re calibrated.
Whats the factory part number on your sender?

Don't want this to go against the rules so if this has to be moved to a discussion topic, fine by me.

If urs is in the tank, how do u know it’s like u have pictured? Every A body I’ve had has had what I’ve pictured. I’ve had 1 sending unit out of every year I’ve posted. 68-74. I’m just trying to help u out. If I hag 10 more if the senders I pictured I could sell them all. Kim

Well you just answered my question above, no mine does not have a pentastar or part number like that, last time I had it out there was not identification number.
Like I said, I’ve never seen that 1 other then in another thread. I have sold a few of mine. Maybe someone else will chime in with their knowledge on the subject. Kim

The one in the original picture is the one I pulled from the 72 valiant, I cleaned it up and put a new filter on it. The original one that was in my 73 when I bought it was one of those cheap ones that never read correctly.

So I have had the one pictured out, not to long ago either since I changed my fuel tank but I think the float arm is bent incorrectly or the wire board is not sending the correct signal. Either way I thought the one I pictured was correct.

So yo don't have any OEM ones for sale?

The one shown in the original post is a factory sender, at least it matches the one from my 67, probably changed sometime later.

Here is a picture of the "nasty" original one that I took out of the tank of my 69 Dart.
This is what happens when you park a car for 40 years with a half a tank of gas.

See this is the one like mine that I pulled from a 72 Valiant. What size tank does a 69 Dart have?

18 gallon. There was only one tank size then.
Here is a picture of the tank I removed and a picture of what came out of the tank when I drained out the old gas.

U could be in to something. Kim

That's the best I could think of, if you mentioned that you have only seen the one you posted in all your cars. It would make sense. Especially since I have yet to find one that looks like mine even in a reproduction other than the one that is listed for a A-100 van which I heard is a bit off and will not work in 16gal tanks.
