Ok enthusiasts, a good friend was cleaning out his garage and decided to throw this Offy intake at me. He’s currently out of the vintage cars and wanted it to go to someone who still owns one. It is the Offenhauser 5270 alum 4bbl intake manifold, that looks to clean to have been mounted or used, no carbon residue whatsoever. Along with the manifold is an adaptor with a vacuum nipple and a vintage Offy 2” alum spacer. I called Offenhauser in LA and was told these have not been in production for years, but due to an influx of calls they are gearing up to start casting these manifolds again. They are not sure when they will start production. Could not give me a what are these vintage ones worth, except check the internet. So, I’m going to ask the Slant6 gang just that what are these going for. Thanks, Al

Right on there “Kersplat” if and when Offy decides to start what they have planned then it will have an effect of prices on the vintage pieces. Of course hard to say when that will be they seemed real vague in that respect. It would look good just sittin’ on the bench in my garage. Thanks, Al

you need to remove that goof *** spacer and make sire the intake is in good shape. Might be covering something up. That spacer did not come with that intake. Summit shows it as a special order for 414. They usually go for no more than about 250 used.

Thanks all for input, was just given to me recently so haven’t had it apart. It just looks to clean to me to have been in service, if something is being hidden don’t know. I’ll do some more research on this relic and see what turns up. I probably won’t use it, since I prefer the Super Six set up I’m running presently. But it was good to get some feedback chatter on it.

What the other guys said. $250 or so in my part of the world.

I've purchased 2 of them within the past 9 months... one I drove to South NJ and the other I drove to MD... $250 was what I paid for each of them... well $225 on the one from NJ because I didn't try to haggle with the owner and he appreciated that so he handed me $25 back... cool guy

Here in NE it’s about $250.00 without spacer. But as soon as they get re-popped, the price will drop. IMHO.

also if a friend gave that to you and now you sell. Make sure you ask them if that’s cool before you sell. People get funny like that sometimes.

All I was sayin is that tall spacer didn't come with it. It looks like it has the original spacer under the tall one, but it's hard to tell. Once you get it apart, you'll know.

At least if they repop them you could probably find linkage and stuff to go with it easier...

circlepilot, that is a 67 Dart V8 throttle cable and home made bracket.
Used a Holley or Mr.Gasket carb heat shield for the carb and to attach a return spring.
A bit overkill but I like to use what I got.

Charrlie. I checked with Jegs and Summit. They did have the Slant six manifold not long ago but now they are not listed.

Old Mopar Performance from the 90's long tube 6 into 1.
No longer available. Best part they were $109.00 new.

I tried to buy a set of those last year (NOS), but was too late. Those look good with the coating on them. Have you run that car at the track?

West Oaks Dodge(now defunked) Had a great parts guy that found them for me around 2003.At the time of the photo I had about 5-6 seasons on them.
Car was running low 13's high 12's.
Sold the car about 6 years ago and the guy is still racing it every season.

I can't remember the name of the company that made 'um for Mopar. It was on the box. Maybe JR.
I did call and ask if they still make 'um or would they and actually got laughed at....
