Chrysler Classic done

Whats the solution?
Racer owned tracks.
When I was a kid in the 80's Seattle international raceway had tv ads, I guess that's very expensive nowadays.

Most of these races are budget friendly with lower payouts. Even if you win by time you pay entry, fuel, towing expenses, etc you lost money. If you hit multiple race tracks like some of us we see our Mopar friends and many others. Raise entry fees and payouts you lose the budget racer that goes to see his Mopar buddies twice a year. Advertising dollars are out there and paid out at big money events. No racers no advertising dollars then all money for car show trophies and race payouts are on the person holding the events. I can race for 1200.00@65.00 entry fees and a 40 mile tow. Kinda hard to complete with that. So honestly I can’t answer your question and I guess they, the ones canceling the events can’t either. Monster Mopar moved their race date from Fall to summer. That same weekend my 40 mile from home track has three 15,000.00 races and a couple of nice gambler races. Hard to tow 400 mile round trip for two 1500.00 races.
