As I was tossing my universal battery hold down that was on my car and putting in my new tray and correct style hold down; I remembered someone posting about dumb things that bug them.
For me it's the batteries. It just bugs me to see Mopars with a Wal-Mart, Ever-start or any no-name battery.
I know, most batteries are made in just a few factories in the USA with just a different sticker on the outside ....
But it still bugs me.

Post a pic of your battery situation (good or bad) below.

I have to use a battery that’s a good one. I much prefer an AGM battery. I use them in everything.

Now if I was doing a dead stock restoration, sure a tar top Mopar battery would be the way to go .
But that ship sailed in ‘75 when it got repainted yellow & white . It was all white from new .

I use the Wall Mart batteries in all my vehicles, they last over 8 years .

Now on my Dart I’m thinking about moving it to the trunk to free up some space and move the weight to the rear . It won’t be seen there . Besides I ran a welding cable under the carpet years ago in anticipation of doing that .

Could careless what battery I use as long as it starts my car when I need to..by the way Mopar doesn't make their own batteries:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

ive always had good luck with mopar battery.seem to get 8-10 years out of them, but im sure the are all made by the same few companys

In the case of a fastback, when mounting the battery in trunk, it should be a gel batt in a box? No offgassing? It would be sweet to do dadsbee trick using the skeleton as a box.

You are correct Mopar doesn’t, neither does Ford or A/C Delco ! What each manufacturer does is summits its specifications that they want for a given battery to the battery makers !

Mopar battery dress up kits and cap color chart

I made this a sticky. I used a Wal Mart battery and a dress up kit.
This is pretty cool for a fraction of the cost for a real Mopar battery. Now I just have to decide which looks better in my engine compartment, yellow or red caps. Car has a 340 which wasn't an option in 71 except the few Canadien cars.

Thanks for the link.
