Richmond 8 3/4" 742 case 4.30 ratio I.D.
I have a ring & pinion that I got in a package deal. It was suppose to be a new 4.86 gear for a 742 case. It turned out to be a 4.30 gear that the seller later described as low use instead. Tried matching up the Richmond part numbers, which start with 69 for Chrysler applications, but it didn't apply because the numbers start with 82! Can anyone clarify the situation?
Pinion # - 82-8302-1
Ring gear # - 82-7302-1
Pinion teeth - 10
Ring Gear teeth - 43
Not a pro gear because it has 8620 stamped for "street" gear as opposed to 9310 for "pro" gears.
Old reverse rotation (4WD) part?
Old numbering system?
