Wiper motors on 67-68 barracudas
These motors had been sitting in the elements 25 years or more on cars with no hoods. There was no choice but to take them completely apart. Full of rust, texas red dirt, and dirt dauber nests. At 50 years old I had to source a NOS main crank arm drive gear because the 2 I had in the motors I took apart the nylon was cracking. This stuff is ancient by now. Honestly the best thing to do is take it apart and go through it making sure wires arent deteriorated. They used color coded fiberglass tube over the wire. By now that has about fallen apart. I used color coded heat shrink over the bare wires on the motor side instead of fiberglass tube to make it more durable.
I have dissassembled the V speed switches and cleaned the brass and copper with alumaprep 33 and thoroughly rinsed, dried, and re crimped back together. No issues. Everything ohms out ok.
