6.1 Hemi into 72 Demon March 2018

So gentle readers back to thrashing on the Demon and all things relevant. This time of year I always get reflective as this is the month I had to unplug my older Brother (pictured on red sled) and best friend, and riding partner for literally thousands of miles, nine years ago this month. We shared women, blood, brawls, handcuffs and many miles. We rode side by side thru life and in the same lane. We rode close enough it was not unheard of for one of us to reach over and hit the others kill switch on the handle bars. 70 mph in the turns and never even look at each other, we knew where we both were. His daughter went on a run with us as the “photographer “ so she had to carry the box camera and take road pix. When we stopped for a break she was exhilarated as we had just went thru the twisties around Mt Rainer. She exclaimed that she could reach out and and touch me. My Brother and I just looked at each other and grinned, just another putt for us. When he passed I adopted his daughter as per our agreement that which ever one of us perished first the other would adopt his children. Apologies once again, I got side tracked. So anyway I am on break letting the welding smoke clear out. Here is a pix of how I set up my wire feeder for anyone contemplating setting one up. The cart is fine if you are a dwarf, otherwise it is just to short. As pictured I set the cart on a elcheapo Rubbermaid cart from HF tools. The shop is always covered in metal dust which is the arch nemesis to wire feed material so I just converted a cheap plastic box to segregate and keep nozzles cups and wire clean. Holy smokes yet another long post.
