I have some Spindles that I need an ID on. They are marked as 62-74B & E Body. Can't read any #s on them. And what would it take to install these on an A Body ?
Thanks Al

Anything is possible? Might steer and handle like crap. And difficult to aline. But you only live once. I say we take a vote & go for it. :)

Installing on an A body is no problem. Just need to see which bearings they take and get the right rotors. The backing plates look like 70-72 B/E which take the smaller bearings.

What you have pictured, are 70-72 B & E body disc brake spindles, and gravel shields.

Thanks Jim, Glad to see you're back and doing well !... I know we talked a little about these a while back, but didn't want to bother you again. What would it take to fit these on an A body ? I want to list these up for sale , either here or on B bodys.

To put them on an A body car, 1972 and earlier, they need to change the upper control arms over to the 73-76 Big ball joint ones, or purchase the adapter that Dr. Diff sells on his web site.

It's now been a month since the heart surgery, "valve job" as i'm functioning ok.
But lots of restrictions, lifting, motions, can, and can't do's, for the next 3 months, in recovery.

Along with the '73-6 upper control arms, you'll need calipers and matching caliper brackets/hardware/pads, rotors that will take the correct bearings for the spindles (fairly hard to find the last time I checked), grease caps, nuts, washers, etc. for the bearings, and brake hoses for whichever caliper mounting (front or rear) you plan on using.
